FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist » issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light southerly winds, later becoming variable. Weather fine, with average temperatures. Seas slight. Pressure is high over New Zealand, with an anti-cyclone centred to the north. A series of depressions is passing in the south. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-south-west, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine and clear; visibility, good; barometer, high and steady.
