The eommittcc have flccidcil to carry 011 activities during the present war period. The district nurse. Miss J. Bursoli, reported that Hiti visits luid been made to the Xortheotc l'fcinkct rooms and It visits to homes. The president reported that sewing for the Karitane Home had lieen undertaken by members of the committee. The Xortheotc branch was represented by Mrs. I'. Hawke, Mrs. I\ 0. Truman and Mrs. H. Taylor at tho recent talk at the Xortheotc Dominican Convent School.
A vote of sympathy was passed to Mr. A. K. Stretton on the death of hi? wir"e_ who for the part throe years had done knitting for the Karitane" Hospital. Members present were:— Mesdames W. E.
