OBITUARY.

MR. J. SMITH WILSON. (Prom Our Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The death has occurred in Wellington of Mr. John Smith Wilson, a son of Major Wilson, a well-known figure in the Auckland province in the early days. On leaving school Mr. Smith Wilson joined the Bank of New Zealand and fur some time was accountant to the Wellington branch. He left the bank to join Mr. J. J. Bourke in business as a woolbroker, with headquarters in Christchurch. In liis early days Mr. Smith Wilson was a noted tennis player, representing Wellington province on numerous occasions. He was also a golfer of considerable ability. He leaves a wife and one daughter. Dr. Marjorie \\ ilson, who has been doing medical work in England for some years.
