RUGBY MEMORIAL.

An announcement that on Saturday week a memorial to the late Mr. John Arneil, former Auckland representative player and captain, and for 20 years president of the Rugby Union, would be unveiled at Eden Park was made by the chairman, Mr. Arthur Baker, at the weekly meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union last night. Mr. Raker said that funds for the memorial had been subscribed privately, and it would take the form of a granite drinking fountain near the members' stand. It was decided to fix the trine for the unveiling ceremony at 2.45 p.m.. so that players and members of the public, as well a* contributors to the .memorial fund, should have the opportunity of being present before the start of the Jubilee Cup match.
