LABOUR PARTY.

DANCE AT ELLERSLIE. The Fllerslic branch of the Xew Zealand Labour party held its fortnightly dance at St. Mary's Hall. Ellcrslie. The winners of the two Montr Carlo dances were Miss .T. Hardijjan and Mr. Banbury. Mik Thomas, son., and Mrs. Cona•rhaii: the spot waltz. Miss H. Briifoni and Mr. Briifonl. Miss M. Allan and Mr. P. Morris won the novelty. Miss Mary Holmes was the winner of the most amusin<r joke competition. The winners of the ">OO card tournament were Mrs. Spiro, Mr. Spiro. Mr. Rae. Mr. Tucker capable carried out the duties of master of ceremonies. PAPATOETOE FUNCTION. The Pnpatoetoe branch of the Xew Zealand Labour party bold a successful dance on Saturday nip-lit in the Renown Hall, when over 300 dancers were present. The ladies' committee comprised Mesdames X. Micanlay. B. Hounslow, G. .Teavons. A. Sutherland, C. Lambert and W. Rountree.
