WRECKAGE DISCOVERED.

PORTIONS ON FOXTON BEACH.

(From Our Correspondent.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Tuesday. During the week-end Mr. H. Hamer, of Foxton, discovered wreckage belonging to a launch on the Foxton beach, about four miles north of the Manawatu River mouth. Portion is from the bottom of the boat, being copper-plated, while other jiortions are from the decking. It is considered possible that the wreckage is portion of a launch which was lost at the mouth of the Wanganui River when engaged in salvage work on the Port Bowen. The set of the current is south from Wanganui.
