ROXY—TIVOLI. It is the crown of the Queen of Sheba, no loss, that lias the protecting hand of the cunning Mr. Moto in the Oriental's latest melodramatic production, "Mr. Mnto lakes a \ acation." which to-morrow w: 11 navo its first Auckland screenings at tlie Roxy anil Tivoli Thcaties. But Moto docs not take a holiday from detcetioii. nor does Peter Loire. in the name part, take a holiday from acting. Notable feature of this picture is that the supporting cast has in it that great character actor Joseph Seliildkraut. Others there are Lionel Atwill. Virginia Field. John Kimi and \ ictor Varconi. The film opens at the scene of the crown s discovery, and ends on an exciting note with the capture of a desperate criminal. Second on the bill will lie "Broadway Musketeers." Margaret Lindsay, the lovely Ann Sheridan and John Litel take leading roles in this melodrama. In the field of crime it must stand high, offering plenty of action and a wealth of good acting. Miss Sheridan is outstanding.
