AUSTRALIAN CLUB.

A successful club day was held by the members of the Australian Club at Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell's home. During the morning Mrs. Victor Mackv gave a talk and reading of her own poems. This was greatly enjoyed by all present. A buffet luncheon followed and in the afternoon a number of musical items were rendered by Mrs. J. Knrrell. Mis. Humphrey Gordon. Mrs. H. Corbin, Mrs. H. Owers and Mrs. R. Heed. Demonstrations of paper flowermaking for the Auckland Centennial celebrations next year were given by two of the members. There was n generous response to a collection in aid of a charitable work. .
