TIMBER REQUIREMENTS.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Regulations conferring power upon the Government to control the production, distribution and use of timt>cr have l>een evoked to cover the production and supply of timber for defence and other emergency work. They will have only a limited general application, the purpose being to interfere with normal manufacturing and trading activities to an absolute minimum consistent with the use of available man power and equipment to the In-st advantage.
