SOUTH SUPERIOR.
BUSTLING TACTICS SUCCEED. Great interest centred in the wing threequarter pla.v ot tlie Fijian, Vosailagi, in the return match between South Auckland and the Auckland Colts, pla.ved as a curtainraiser at Eden Park. This player, who has a brother touring with the Fijian side, showed up as a brilliant all-rounder. He has speed and kicking ability, scoriny a try and kicking a penalty. The final score of 12—5 to South was obtained largely as the result of bustling tactics by the forwards. The man that stood out was Sherrard, the tall South Auckland side row man. It is possible that if he played with a larger union Sherrard would go a long way indeed in Rugby. South s outstanding back was Pickard, the centre. Coughlan was on form in the home side, and IJalliwell played brilliant football before he retired hurt. Sherrard, Vosailagl and Loughrin scored for South, and the Fijian kicked a penalty. Auckland's five points came from a try by Thorne converted by Coughlan.
