BILL THE COOK

12th Battery Character MANY inquiries were made at 1 the last reunion in Wellington of the 12th Battery and have been repeated since, for Bill Cumsing, the battery cook. Nobody seemed to be able to throw light on the "mystery," and a request has been made to "The Page" to broadcast an S.O.S. for any information as to his present whereabouts. Artillerymen remember with pleasure their association with him and not one who was with the battery has been able to forget the wonderfully tasty rissoles Bill was able to turn out. He was considered the greatest culinary magician with the N.Z. E.F.— could make the most tempting and satisfying meals "out of nothing at all." Can anyone help?
