The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London, dat'ed 25fch instant: — Tallow.—The market continues quiet. Present spot quotations are:—Mutton: Fine, 21/ to 22/; good, 20/; fair, 15/6 to 16/; dark to dull, 17/6. Beef: Good, 16/6; fair, 15/ to 15/6; dark to dull, 16/6. Mixed: Good, 17/; fair, 15/ to 15/6; gut. 16/6. . Hemp—Manila: Market? firm and steady, shippers offer sparingly. K grade sold August-October shipment £16 10/. Sisal: Market finner at the close. Prices are advancing. Small business reported. September-November shipment sold up to £15 15/. WORLD WHEAT PRICES. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, August 28. Wheat cargoes are slightly dearer. Parcels are tinquoted. Futures are quoted as follow:—London: August, 23/2 per quarter; November, 22/11. Liverpool: October, 4/1% ppr cental; December, 4/1%; March, 4/2%. Chicago: September, 68% cents per bushel; December, 68%; May, 69%.
