ROXY-TIVOLI. "Racketeers of the Range," a fast-mov-ing Western drama, will open at the Rox.v and Tivoli Theatres to-morrow. Telling an exciting tale of modern Arizona and ita cattle troubles, the film deals with a resourceful cattleman's singlehanded battle against a big packing corporation that threatens to monopolise the packing field and bring ruin to himself and his fellow ranchers. George O'Brien plays with his usual ability the part of a sturdy outdoor cattleman, while Marjorie Reynolds makes a charming heroine. Fast-riding and fast-shooting in grim battles in the mountains are mingled with the romance of the range to a pleasant degree, making this a most entertaining film. The second attraction is a thrilling murder mystery "Mr. Wong, Detective." Boris Karloff, master of eerie characterisation, gives an outstanding portrayal of the clever Chinese deuth in this exciting drama of international spies and crooks. This, the first of a series of films based on the stories of Hugh Wiley, which have enjoyed great popularity in the United States, should be a very successful venture. AMUSEMENTS GUIDE.
