POINT CHEVALIER CLUB. TWENTIETH ANNUAL MEETING. The Point Chevalier Sailing Club held its twentieth annual meeting in the clubhouse. Mr. M. .1. Covle presiding over a large attendance of members. The report, submitted by Mr. W. H. .T. Oliver, stated that in every way the club had experienced a good season last year. Membership established a new record with a total of including honorary members and vice-presidents. The club entertained the crews of the Sydney 1 X-fmiters, who took part in a race off the clulihouse, Arline winning by ss. Th<i Clare Rose Howl was won by tiie club's representative. Riptide, for t lie fourth successive year. Races were held on nine days, entries totalling 347. The prize distribution was well attended, Mr. W. H. Harlow making the presentations. The other social events were al£o successful and showed a net profit of ±'.14. A billiard table was added to the club's amenities during the year and proved popular. The balance-sheet. submitted by Mr. J. W. Douglas, showed receipts totalling £925, including sinking fund balance i. 11 15/ and general account balance i'U2S. The expenditure, which included £HM> reduction of overdraft, cash prizes £4!». trophies £35 and repairs to clubhouse £U'J. left a credit balance for the year of £40 7/.'l. The assets are valued at £1!»S7, liabilities £072, the balance of assets being i'Kilfi.

Mr. Coyle when moving the adoption of the report ami balance-sheet congratulated the commodore. Mr. A. (i. McKeown. the treasurer, .Mr. .1. \V. Douglas, the honorary secretary. Mr. \V. H. .1. Oliver, and the committee 011 their work during the past season.

Douglas and F. Dyson; honorary solicitor. Sir. F. C. Jordan; honorary architect. Mr. R. A. Thorpe; judge, Mr. 11. Ilibcrtson ; starter, Mr. J. Cleal: timekeeper. Mr. L. Richards: committee, Messrs. R. Buckley, .1. Douglas. It. Wright, D. Rogers, T. Storey, .T. White. (J. Bell. R. Evans. 11. Ibhertson, B. Talbot, J. O'Stillivan and T. Jennings.

On behalf of the officers and members Mr. J. W. Douglas presented the commodore with a mantel clock, suitably inscribed, as a token of respect. Mr. McKeown. on behalf of his wife and himself, acfinow--1 edged the gift.

Presentations were also made to Mr. G. Bell, who had nominated 61 new members during the year, and to Mr. T. Jennings, who had officiated at the door for the socials. Mr. M. J. Coyle was congratulated on re-election as president for his twentyfirst year, and special thanks were extended to Mr. J. W. Douglas, the retiring honorary treasurer. The club's best wishes will he sent to Mr. F. Dignan. an honorary officer, who attains his eighty-first birthday 011 Saturday.

Some discussion took place on sail area restrictions on 18 and 14-footers, the secretary reading a series of resolutions passed at a meeting of owners and others interested held last Tuesday. The following motion was carried unanimously : "That this club is not in favour of any restrictions on sails and requests its delegates to take steps to have the restrictions rescinded."

A vote of thanks to the chairman and to the Press concluded the business.
