WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. m The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate to fresh winds between south-west and north-west. Occasional scattered showers are likely, but the weather for the most part will be fair and mild. Seas slight to moderate on the east coast and rather rough on the west coast. An anti-cyclone remains centred to the south-east and pressure is still very low to the south-west. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, west-south-west, strong, fresh; sea, moderate; weather, cloud/, with passing showers; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
