FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist ' Issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special | weather forecaat for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to fresh north-westerly to westerly winds. Some scattered showers are probable, but the weather for the most part will be fair to cloudy and mild. Seas light to moderate. A weak disturbance is crossing the North Island, while a more intense one is remaining stationary to the west of the South Island. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north-west, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine but hazy; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
