GREATER SAFETY.

ROAD TRAFFIC CONTROL TRANSPORT AMENDMENT BILL. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. "The fundamental principle underlying the Transport Amendment Bill, which is to be introduced in the House of Representatives next week, is better control on roads and better enforcement of laws aimed exclusively at giving greater safety on highways," said the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple, after a Government caucus had been held yesterday. • Mr. Semple added that lie could not see anything controversial in the measure, because he was confident there could be no political warfare on a bill that aimed at greater safety for the public.
