CAR FAILS TO STOP.
collision AT CORNER,
When two cars collided at the corner of Park Avenue and Park Road. Grafton, at about 8.30 o'clock last night, one of the vehicles involved failed to stop. A third motorist gave chase for some distance, but this was not successful.
One car was driven by Mr. B. Zimmerman, of 29, Euskin Street, Parnell, and was about to turn into Park Avenue from Park Road when it,was hit on the rijrht rear wheel by the other car. Mr. Zimmerman suffered an • injury to one arm while giving the turning signal, and his car was fairly badly damaged. Mr. D. Kniallfieid, of 9, Enfield Street, Mount Eden, «ave chase. He stated that the vehicle which he pursued v t hs a small, dark-coloured sedan driven bv a man. A chromium hub-cap was found near the scene of the mishap. The police "night patrol was advised, but as yet the car has not been traced.
STRUCK BY CAR,
A fracture of t'he left legr, head injuries and concussion were suffered by Mr. Daniel Frederick King, waterside worker, i , 3 Un,on Street, when he was knocked down by a car at the corner of Wellington and Hobson Streets last even - _ Se was taken to the Auckland Hospital >n a St. John ambulance. His condition is fairly satisfactory.
