RAILWAYMEN'S STRIKE.
LABOUR COUNCIL DIFFERS. (Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 23. The executive of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen met again and reaffirmed the decision to strike at midnight on Saturday in spite of the decision of the National Union of Railwaymen not to participate.
The National Council of Labour has passed a resolution expressing its determination not to weaken collective resistance to German aggression.
