U.S. PROFESSXOIfAIi COIXEOEI. ■ / Two young Englishmen, both dental surgeons, who for the past two years havo been attending the North-Western University in Chicago, Dr. P. Ellis and Dr. C. M. Debenham, were passengers in the Monowai, which arrived from Vancouver this morning. They will spend some time in New Zealand.' "America's professional colleges—law, medicine, dentistry nnd so on—demand n \ cry high standard of work," said Dr. Ellis. "In fact that's about all you dowork. Of course, the ordinary American university is much the same as.many others, but the professional schools maintain a fairly strict discipline as fur as study ia concerned."
