WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate westerly winds, becoming stronger to-morrow. Weather mainly fair to cloudy, but with occasional scattered showers. Mild temperatures. Seas slight, but rising on the west coast. An extensive system of weak depressions covers the Dominion and Tesman Sea. The situation will probably develop into the westerly type. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the tteuraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, westerly, light; sea, smooth; weather, overcast and showery; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
