ANNUAL REUNION.
MT. ALBERT OLD BOYS. HEADMASTER'S ADDRESS. The school hall was the locale of the annual reunion gathering of Mount Albert Grammar School old boys 011 Saturday night. Amongst other schools represented were Auckland Grammar School, Sacred Heart College, Takapuna Grammar School, Prince Albert College, English Public Schools and Dilworth School. The president of the association, Mr. R. C. Aickin, proposed the toast of the fchool, arid the headmaster, Mr. F. W. Gamble, responded. Attention was drawn by Mr, Gamble to the new amplifying system through which he was speaking, which had just been installed in the school. It could be used in the hall, in classrooms and, by use of an extension, outdoors. Boys would be drilling by it shortly, lie said. He also made raferenee to a large cabinet which had been erected over the stage in the hall, containing the school's trophies and cups. The now defunct old boys' cricket club had donated it. A set of French records, presented by an old boy, was another valuable gift the school had received during the year. Among other toasts honoured were."Kindred Associations," proposed by Mr. R. Harrop and responded to by Mr. J. McD. Coleman, of the Sacred Heart Old Boys' Association; "The proposed by Mr. M. Tongue and responded to by Mr. W. Caradus; "Absent Old Boys," proposed by Mr. D. Sumner. Messrs. Stewart Harvey, J. Finlayson and L. Stuart contributed items during the evening. An old boy, the Rev. W. Heerdegan. was the preacher at the annual church service last night at St. Luke's Church, Mount Albert. Reunion functions will be concluded by a ball this evening, in which the Epsom Grammar Old Girls' Association will combine.
