COLLISION SEQUEL.
NEGLIGENCE ADMITTED.
FARM HAND FIXED.*
The sequel to a collision between two "•-ii" at Puni on dune 17 was the anneal'since in the Pukekohe Police Court yesterday of John Thomas Dennis, a farm hand, of Waiuku, who pleailed guilty to a charge of negligent driving.
Sergeant T. Kelly stated defendant was on his way to a dance at Pukekolirj and failed to keep to the correct side of the road while rounding the bend at the Puni Hall, colliding with a car proceeding in the opposite direction. As a result the other car overturned. Subsequently defendant admitted to the police that ho might have been on the wrong side of the road.
Dennis told the magistrate, Mr. F. H Levien, that when he first saw the other car it was on the wrong side of the road and that he had pulled over to avoid it.
"Fined £2. with cost £1 1/," said tlic magistrate.
