Thejr finished together, and both went well. After cantering round to the three furlong post the Hoylake filly (Tremain), Loyal Grant (Gemmell) and Stonehaven (Hearn) ran home in 40 l-ss. The Hoylake filly was doiifg best at the end. Dutch Girl (Tremain) got to the end of five furlongs in 1,7 3-5, a useful effort. Clipper (Wiggins) finished in front of Vnldenc (Walker) at the -finish of half a mile in 50 4-ss. Clipper was kept up to his work, and gave ap improved display. Valspear (Coon) worked evenly while traversing five furlongs in 1.8 3-5. the last four taking 54 l-ss. Vv.'

British Sovereign and Wykefrfist pulled off and took the water jump towards the completion of their task, the remainder going over the double. They air finished up at the bruch fence at the mile post. Wykemist gave a finished display, while British Sovereign, Gar Vaals and Ararata also pleased, especially the last-named.
