Notice of his intention to introduce the Domestic Proceedings Bill was given in the House of Representatives yesterday by the Attorney-General, -MrMason. This measure provides for a modification of procedure in cases of applications for the separation of married couples when made to a magistrate. 1 he magistrate is empowered to refer such cases to some suitable person to effect a reconciliation and only after this effort has failed will a separation be granted.
