VETERAN ARCHDEACON.

84 YEARS OLD TO-MORROW.

To-morrow Archdeacon fi. Mac Murray will celebrate his 84th birthday, and will be the preacher at the morning service in St. Mary's Cathedral.

The archdeacon, who retired at the end of 1938, just after celebrating his ministerial diamond jubilee, lias been a prominent figure in the religious life of Auckland for a little under half a century. He served as vicar of St. Mary's from 1892 to 1919.
