WHERE ARE THE 14 BARS?
A.S.C. Main Body Numerals CPEAKING the other day to a Digger who left with the Main Body in the A.S.C., the topic of numerals came up. It was remarked how few there were with the 14 bar numbers, and the Digger in question—l4/22—remarked that he had met few of his former comrades in recent times. He recalled that Corporal Creighton, V.C., was once a 14/ man, and expressed the view that it would be a very pleasant experience to get in touch with other members of the 14 bar class, and a reunion might be arranged. The Main Body A.S.C. were the only Diggers who carried that number, as the numerals were altered when the first contingent left to reinforce the N.Z.E.F. So would any 14 bar men write to the editor, "The Page," and let's see how many we can unearth?
