PARIS, August 9. American delegates to the World Zionist Conference forecast a big campaign to force Britain to reopen Palestine to Jewish migrants.

News from Palestine yesterday indicates a gradual but marked improvement in the conditions there. The High Commissioner, Sir Harold Mac Michael, is taking a period of leave and will be absent from Palestine for .two months. He toured Beersheba and sub-district at the end of last week. Authority has been given for a resumption of 37 more Arab bus services, mainly in the south. ] Sporadic terrorist acts continue. A land mine exploded oil Monday under a truck, the driver of which was seriously injured. Three Jewish supernumeraries were killed when a patrol lorry touched a ' land mine near Rehoboth.
