SWIMMER RETURNS.
MONA LEYDON'S TRIP
After a holiday trip of four months. Mi-s Mona Leydon, former Xew Zealand champion swimmer, returned to Auckland this morning in the Monterey. Sinwas accompanied by her mother, Mrs. A. Levdon.
"I think the highlight of the trip." Miss Leydon said, "was meeting Johnnie Weismnller at the Aquacade in the' Xew York Fair.'' 'Miss Leydon's trip was mostly holiday, but she saw a little bit of swimming in America and Honolulu.
"T, being a true New Zealander.' Mrs. Leydon said, "went to the races. But they don't call it that in Cleveland. Ohio. They'll tell you we 'played the hor-es.' Anyway, we made some money and it was good fun."'
