WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate southerly winds. A few scattered showers are still probable, but the weather will be mainly fair to fine. Milder day but cool night temperatures. Seas slight to moderate. An anti-cyclone still covers the Dominion and an extensive depression is centred on the New South Wales Coast. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south, light; sea, moderate; weather, fine and clear; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
