The inside of the trial prase was in good order, especially along the back, but many horses were not galloped seriously. Trench Fijrht ran half a mile in 50s, completing the mile in 1.45, Xiphtealm takinji 1.4.3 2-5 and goincr at an even pace throughout. Counterblast ?ot over half a mile in 525. Montessa taking 52 2-5?. while Treasurer and St. Cloud got over a half up the back in 50 2-5».
Catalogue and Astaire covered sir furlongs easily in 1.23. Master Hotspur and Grey Xisrhit taking 1.20 1-5. and Blue Coat 1.21. Roy Bun and Padishah covered seven furlongs in 1.35 2-5.
Erination went well over five fences. Survoy. who accompanied him. got in close at the first two and was outjumped at the third, but improved to complete » round and be alongside his companion at the double.
Colonel French led Disturbed and Silk Sox over four hurdles, after which the last-named pair went on over four more hurdles, jumping well.
