VEHICULAR FERRY SERVICE.

Discussing the action of the Ferry Company in eliminating- the Xorthcote vehicular service, the Mayor of Xorthcote, Mr. R. Martin, said residents strongly resented the attitude of the company and it had been decided to hold a public meeting of protest on Monday evening next. The member for the district, Mr. W. J. Lyon, would attend and officials of the Ferry Company and borough representative on the Auckland Harbour Board, together with the chairman of the board, Mr. W. B. Daiiow, would be aeked to be present and explain their attitude.
