DUNEDIN'S PLIGHT.
DAMAGE CAUSED BY SNOW. It AIN CAUSING RAPID THAW. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. It was announced thia morning that the railway, both north and south, is now open. Damage done to city verandahs by .snow weight is estimated at thousands of pounds, while the Iron and Steel Company's collapsed roof involve* i"2flf)o. Three musterers who were trapped in the hills behind Roxburgh for three days with little food got out yestefday through drifts sometimes 50ft deep. They met a rescue party half-way. Heavy ™in is now falling and it should •aiwu u rapid thaw.
