AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. The Auckland l provincial amateur billiards championship was continued last evening at Messrs. Billiards, limited, showrooms, when .T. Harrison defeated 11. Rae comfortably. Rae commenced well and a neat all-round break of 42 resulted. He had much the better of the play and had a good lead at the first hundred mark. Harrison commenced to make up the leeway and, playing very accurately, made a splendid break of T9. He continued to score freely and, although Rae tried very had, he failed to hold his opponent. The final scores were: Harrison, 300 (breaks of 7!>, 21; 53, ?3 and 27); H. Kae, :>;>" (breaks of 42 and 23). H. A. Massey will play J. W. Craies at 7.30 o'clock to-night.
