MANURE WORKERS.
DE-REGISTERED UNION. XO FRESH DEVELOPMENTS. There were no frcsTi developmcn' - to-day in connection with the chenr. manure workers" strike, and the dispui: - committee <>f the Auckland conn-i". <•: the Federation of Labour is awaiting advice from the employers pon.-.Ti:ni'.: a meeting with representatives of t.i" workers with the object of making a:i agreement under the Labour Disputes Investigation Act. The secretary of the union. Mr. W. Miller, had no comment to make this morning with respect to the announcement that the Minister of Labour, the Hon. P. C. Webb, had taken action to cancel the registration of the union under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act as from to-day. It appears, however, that the Minister's action nrust have almost coincided with the lodging of the union's application for de-recristration. - Following yesterday's meeting of the workers. Mr. Miller sent notice br telegram of the union's intention to seek cancellation of its registration under th"* I.C. and A. Act to the registrar <■:" industrial unions. Mr. E. M. Taylor, an I he later followed this up with an app! cation by air mail. In the circumstanceit would appear that the Minister won in the race for de-registration by a "short head."
