It is high time someone spoke up for the present Government. We grumble becan* they spend too much, but we also gruniDie when roads are in a bad -way; we inalce great fuss over the shortage of houses, ana then grumble "because they put up nouses that are so nice that everyone who rant* house which is old wants to get a State house, and no wonder. I have been looking i° T * house for months in Auckland and some the hovels they showed me for 35/ were * disprace, and those at £2 10/ and over tue landlord wanted you to do your own pa panne and painting! We only live once, and I fcno« when I am better off. if some of them do not. (Or do they, but can't help "rumbling?) Ne * Zvalandcr-'aro the Mg«e<st grumblers I kr.off, becau=e few of thorn have over known real hardship. During the war they grumble! because the sugar was scarce —they <*>!"", make jam!
