BRIGHTEN UP YOUR BEDROOM

(Sent In by Freda Jeene, 78, Shelly Bfrteh Road, Heme Bay.) Have you a window-sill in your bedroom ? Then why not use It to brighten your bedroom, girls? A flowerpot or even an old tin will do. Have a look round for some paint that is of no nee to dad, and then paint your pote and tins an attractive colour—Something to tone in with the general colour scheme of your room. If you can't find any pote or tins a small pot from a shop costs only a few pence. When the pots are dry fill them with earth and ask clad for flOme nice bulbs or geranium*. Plant these In the"' pots and water them regularly or the flowers will be very poor blooms. They will not take long to come up if you water them every day. The nicest flowers to grow are hyacinth*, wax-flowers, daffodils, jonquils and marigolds. No—don't frown at the latter. They are very pretty and make a gay show. They'll make iuch a difference to the appearance of yofir room, especially if you live in a flat and haven't much garden. If you don't care for the pots on the wiridow-eill you could have them on a email pedestal. A coat of paint will make it all the more attractive.
