Early on the morning of March 2!) a time bomb exploded on Hammersmith Bridge. blowing away part of the superstructure. A mail was walking on the footpath over the bridge when he saw a box, from .which eaine a crackling sound. He threw it into the river. A second explosion occurred on the other footpath as he was leaving the bridge.
