PAY IN THE NAVY.
COMMISSION OF INQUIRY. The personnel of the commission, appointed by the fiovernmeiit to inquire into the. pay find conditions of the Nt?w Zealand Division of the Royal Navy lias been completed. The chairman will be the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. J\*. K. J'rice. Mr. C. M. Bruce, v.ho arrived fit Wellington yesterday from England, will represent the British Admiralty. The other members will he Paymaster-Coin-mender C. L. O. Davis. R.N.. Squadrouaccountflnt on H.M.S. ix-ander, and.Mr. T. F. Anderson, secretary of the Seamen's Union.
Some evidence was taken before the arrival of Mr. Bruce, and it is probable that the commission will meet at Wellington next week to discuss it. It '»; not. likely that, further evidence will be j herrd until the return to Auckland «if j Leander, which is on an Ir-lairl cruise. j
