Davenport id the Pukekohe Court yesterday, when Claude PettigrCAV was charged with riding his motor cycle in a manner which was deemed to be dangerous. The iiiHpertor Raid he was proceeding toward Pttkekohe When defendant emerged from the main entrance at Wesley College, Paerata and sped away in front of his car. He rounded the first bend at 50 miles an hour and etarted to swerve and swing from aide to side of the road. He increased his speed to a mile a minute, still swaying and swerving in spite of the fact that the inspector had his siren sounding continuously, and entered the Paerata township before he could be stopped. Defendant informed Mr. F. H. Levieh, S.M., that he did not realise the seriousness of the offence, adding that the road was perfectly clear at the time. Remarking that the roads were not for use as a speedway, the magistrate imposed a fine of £1 10/, with 12/ costs,
