RAlfcT FOLLOWS FALL. (From Our Correspondent.) PALMERSTON $~ Wednesday. A period of wintei 1 weather culminated In a fall of snow ever the whole of the Woodville district early this morning, resulting in the blanketing of nil the country arid giving * striking appearance t© the ranges. Considerable rain fill during the night and in Woodville Itsolf sleet began to fall shortly after 7 a.m. Snow fell thickly for nearly an hour. The amount of I'alh that had fnllen and also that which followed precluded the lying of the (.now on the flats for any length of time, and rtiftny of the hills appeared green again by midday. Temperatures remained cold throughout the day.
