HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
DISPI-AY AT BIRKENHEAD. Tljere was a large attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Waiteniata Horticulture Society, held in the All Saints' Hall, Birkenhead. Mr.H. X. Lcefe presided. Mr. A. C. Pye. president of the Auckland Horticultural Society, .rave an interesting address on "Seasonal Work for July." Awards for the points competition were announced as follow: — Flowers and Pot Plmts.-Mr. and Mrs. H. X. Leefe, Miss K. Wilson. 9 points; Mrs. •I. Crombic. Mrs. K. Oldbiiry, Miss M E Shutes, 8 point*: Mrs. A. K. Campbell, 7 points; Mrs. J. Prickett, 6 points. Fruit and Vegetable*. »-Miss J. Geddis. 10 points: Mr. an.l Mrs. H. X. Lcefe, 9 points; Mrs. Kemp. 7 points.
The judge. Mr. ]). p. O'Leary, congratulated Miss Geddis on her excellent exhibits of fruit and vegetables.
