MOTORING FATALITY.

COLLISION WITH BRIDGE. ACCIDENT NEAR WELLSFORD. When the motor vehicle he was driving came into collision with the buttress of the Te Hana bridge near Wellsford yesterday afternoon, Mr. Ernest Roy Leng, aged 35, married, a farmer, of Te Hana, suffered fataj injuries. The vehicle was proceeding in the direction of Wellsford and hit the hand rail of the bridge after striking the buttress. The windscreen was broken by the rail which struck Mr. Leng. Mr. Leng suffered concussion and was sent to the Auckland Hospital after receiving attention. He died on the way. Mr. L. Smith, who was a passenger, suffered shock but escaped injury.
