RADICAL CHANGES PLAN.
WELLINGTON ATTITUDE.

CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday.
It is reported that at the 'meeting of the Wellington division of the British Medical Association yesterday a decision was reached by 27 votes to 17 against adopting the recommendation of the National Health Insurance Committee for radical changes in the attitude of the association towards the social security maternity benefits. '
The meeting later, however, rescinded the original resolution and left it to Dr. T. D. M. Stout, Wellington representative on the committee, to vote as lie thought fit when the proposals are discussed Wellington to-morrow.
A circular recommending a scheme to be submitted to the Government has been in the hands of members of the association for some time and ha* been discussed by all the 14 divisions of the association. The meeting to-morrow will disciMs the replies received from the divisions.
