FLIGHT TO ENGLAND.
Honour For Crew Of Survey Flying Boat. . GUBA AT NEW YORK. United Press Association.—Copyright. NEW YORK. July 2. The flying boat Guba, which recently carried the party who surveyed the Indian Ocean, arrived at New York at ;!.")7 p.m. yesterday from the Virgin Islands. Dr. Richard Archholil and his crew are proceed-' itifj to S.fn Mie-jro to fly to England a Li-ton Consolidated patrol bomber, which has been secretly ordered by tlii' British Air Ministry. It is the largest contracted for outside the Kinpii'c. If the bomber, the range of which is 400(1 miles, passes the rigorous tests of the Royal Air Force, a large order will be placed in the United States or, as in the case of the Soviet, will be produced in England under license. A spectacular two-day delivery" flight is planned. The machine will fly :?.'SOO miles noil-stop from San Diego to Hot wood. Newfoundland. and, after refuelling, will fly the Atlantic. The (Juba's crew have been selected because of their experience in handling huge seaplanes.
