AWATEA FOR SYDNEY.

RARANGA SAILS WEDNESDAY. PORT BOWEN FOR NAPIER. MARIPOSA ARRIVES OX FRIDAY. The Union Company's trans-Tasmaii passenger liner Awatea, which arrived at 8 a.m. on Saturday from Sydney, berthing at Queen's wharf, will sail at eight o'clock to-night on her return to that port. She is due at Sydney on Wednesday morning, but may be later if the threatened westerly gale develops. The Shaw Savill and Albion steamer Raranga, which is loading for London at Queen's wharf, will complete to-morfow evening and sail at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. She goes via Panama and Kingston ami is due at London on August 14, also discharging at Avonmouth, Liverpool and (ilasgow. The Port Bowen completed loading Auckland cargo for London on Saturday evening and left for Xapier and Southern ports at daylight yesterday. She sails finally from Wellington on July lit, via Cape Horn. The Matson liner Mariposa will arrive on Friday at 7 a.m. from San Francisco, via ports, sailing at 10 p.m. for Sydney and -Melbourne.

Mat.ua mailed shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday for Nukualofa, Ai>ia and Suva. She is duo to return on Julv 12. (U.S.S. Co.) Tongariro, which arrived from Liverpool last Thursday, is discharging at Prince's wharf and will leave for Wellington on Saturday. (X.Z.S. Co.) Sydney Maru will arrive from Wellington on Thursday morning to discharge and load for Japan, sailing for Lytti'Hon on Friday evening. (F. Co-op.) Tolten has been delayed at Papeete, en route from Pacific Coast ports, to Auckland and is now due next Monday. (U.S.S. Co.) Larchbank is due on Thursday from Nauru Island with a full cargo of phosphate for Auckland. (8.P.C.) H.M.S. Achilles will sail on Thursday for a cruise to the Islands, her firs't port being Karotonga. She is due to rot urn on August 18. (Naval Dcpt.) Rangitiki is discharging London cargo at Wellington and will arrive here on Friday morning to complete and start loading. (X.Z.S. Co.) Tekoa is due from Wellington, via (iisborne, next Monday to complete loading for London, sailing on Julv 15 (XXS. Co.) * Sussex, which left Liverpool on June 4 for Auckland, advised to-dav that she expects to arrive on Wednesday afternoon. (X.Z.S. Co.) Monowai leaves Sydney on Thursday for Auckland. She will arrive next Monday, sailing on Tuesday for Vancouver, via ports. (U.S.S. Co.) Rimutaka, which sailed at midnight last Tuesday from Lyttelton for London, advisee meeting with unfavourable weather, but "All'e w%11." (X.Z.S. Co.)

UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. Awatea sails at 8 p.m. to-day for Sydney. Waiaua sails at midnight to-night for Lytfclton, Dunedin, Bluff and Timaru. 'Walpiata is expected to leave Wellington to-llay fur Auckland and leaves hero on Friday f<ir Wellington, Lyttelton, Duncdln, Oaimiru and Timaru. Waimarlno is expected to leave Bluff this afternoon for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Tolten has been delayed at Papeete and was expected' to leave there on Saturday for Auckland, thence to Wellington, Dunedin anil Melbourne. Niagara arrived at Vancouver at 7 a.m. on Saturday. She leaves there on Wednesilnv for Victoria, Honolulu, Suva and Auckland. Kartigi loads at Greymouth about Saturday next for Auckland and Portland. Kahvarra was due at.
