WEATHER FORECAST.
TOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Westerly to southerly gales, rising to strong 'gales in places. Weather cold and stormy, with heavy passing showers. Seas high on the west coast and high off shore on the east coast. A deep depression is centred west of the North Island, while an anticyclone is advancing across the south Tasman Sea. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, northerly, strong; sea, rough; weather, overcast; visibility, fair; barometer, very low and still Tailing. -J ,Ol " — Tne barometer at the "Star" Office at 1 p.m. to-day was 28.73.
