MR. F. SKIFFINGTON.

(From Our Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday. The death has occurred of Mr. Francis SkiftiUpton, at the age of 84. Born in Ireland, Mr. Skifrinoton went to England when about 19 years old, and two years later he came out to the Dominion, landing at Lyttelton. For some years he farmed in various parts of Canterbury, and after marrying he took up a block of virgin country in Southland, remaining there until his retirement in 1910. He came to Hamilton about IS years ago. He was a member of the Hibernian Society for 3J3 years. Mr. Skiftington Is survived by four sons and one daughter.
