LADY MEATH TO BE RETIRED. The Irish-bred mare Lady Meatli has finished her racing career and is to go to the etud (says our Te Awamutu correspondent). Her owner. Mr. A. H. Storey. r>! Te Awamutu. said he really bought Lady Meath as a yearling for stud purposes, for she has very sound blood lines—liianv similar in fact to those of Denis Boy. a son of Soldcnnis. who won tlie Caul Hold Clip. It was Denis Boy's successes in races in Australia that induced Mr. Storey to give Lady Meatli a chance to distinguish herself on the race track.
