Following his interview with Heir Hitler on June IS. Kha lid al Hud assured Britain that his visit was merely to return that of a German doctor. He emphasised Saudi Arabian friendship with Britain. The German Foreign Office journal, however, significantly stated that the Reich always welcomed Arab efforts for independence. Heir Hitler would give King 'Ibn Sand whatever assistance would be most useful.

LAUNCH STILL MISSING.

SYDNEY, this day. Captain R. Darroch, describing the Waugauella's rough passage "from Auckland, said that at times gusts of wind reached SO miles an hour. An elderly woman passenger was blown over on the deck and fractured a wrist. Aeroplanes searched unsuccessfully for the launch which, with two men aboard, has been missing from Newcastle for two days. It is believed the launch was swamped. The men went for a morning's fishing during the storm.
